• IEC offers 6 levels of English courses: Foundation, Intermediate A, Intermediate B, Intermediate C, Advanced A and Advanced B.
• Students take a placement test during orientation to determine their course level at IEC.
• Each course is 8 weeks in duration.
• Reading, Writing & Grammar is offered as either a morning course or as an afternoon course.
• Listening & Speaking is only offered as a midday course.
• Students may have Schedule A or Schedule B dependent upon which course level they are placed in.
• Upon completing Advanced B, students may enter Diablo Valley College without a TOEFL score or IELTS score.
• *Real World Fridays are designed to help students experience American culture and practice what they learn in class.
• *Real World Friday experiences are incorporated into classroom grades and are subject to change based upon individual teachers.
