Medical Insurance

IEC requires F-1 students to have medical insurance coverage during their stay in the USA. If
students would like to use their own medical insurance, the coverage must meet IEC’s requirements and a
coverage certificate in English must be provided on or before the first day of class.

You can purchase medical insurance through IEC. This is the insurance brochure(.pdf) for the year from August
2011 to August 2012.

Refund Policy

IEC will refund unused tuition that is requested in writing by the first day of class of a session. No
refunds are made for a session after the 1st day of class. Any change in the length of program must be made in
writing before the beginning of the next session. If IEC asks a student to leave, the same refund policy applies.
Application and medical insurance fees are non-refundable.

Books and Materials

Expect to spend between $65 to $90 for books and materials for each 8-week session. All books will be purchased at the DVC Campus Bookstore.
