Application
To apply:
- Complete and send the application. Print your name exactly as it appears on your passport.
- Send the $100 application fee (check, money order, wire transfer or credit card).
- Send proof of financial ability to meet the cost of tuition, fees, books, accommodations and incidental expenses.
- If you want to receive a Conditional Admission Letter to DVC, send completed DVC application, official transcripts and payment of $50 (payable to DVC).
Application deadline
In order for students to have sufficient time to apply for visa application, purchase plane tickets and
make arrangement for homesetay, we recommend students to apply at least two months before the
beginning of the program.
Effective May 2011, IEC has established the following application deadlines which are six weeks prior to
the orientation date. Please contact us if you have a late application. Due to larger than expected enrollment numbers, we may close application deadlines earlier.

Medical Insurance
IEC requires F-1 students to have medical insurance coverage during their stay in the USA. If
students would like to use their own medical insurance, the coverage must meet IEC’s requirements and a
coverage certificate in English must be provided on or before the first day of class.
You can purchase medical insurance through IEC. This is the insurance brochure(.pdf) for the year from August
2011 to August 2012.
Refund Policy
IEC will refund unused tuition that is requested in writing by the first day of class of a session. Norefunds are made for a session after the 1st day of class. Any change in the length of program must be made in
writing before the beginning of the next session. If IEC asks a student to leave, the same refund policy applies.
Application and medical insurance fees are non-refundable.
